Feeling better today. Surprisingly, I'm not very sore after the 12-miler. It hurt while doing it, but not so bad afterwards.
The history of the marthon is interesting and inspiring. I found a nice short description of marathon history.

Sawyer Camp Trail 12-Miler Report
As opposed to 6 miles, running 12 miles is not a piece of cake. It's hard! Ran along Crystal Springs Reservoir Saturday morning for almost two hours in a light rain. It's a really beautiful course. At least I think it was beautiful, although most of the time my glasses were wet and I could only see five feet in front of me.
My legs weren't feeling too good. I'm wondering if it was from being wet and cold, or perhaps my shoes are wearing out. Will do some experiments in the future. It was intimidating to think I will run twice this distance in two months. Can I do it? Stay tuned.

Welcome!
I've been meaning to set this up for a while. I wish I had made entries when I decided to sign up for TNT and attended the Kick-Off meeting. I'll try to add thoughts about that later.
For today's run, I put in 5-6 miles out to Guadalupe River and the Airport. One of the great things about this training program is that 6 miles is a piece of cake! It feels great, not strenuous at all.
